My Carrier is Making Me Have to Consider Leaving iPhone, And I’m Frustrated

Two days ago, I reached out to both my carrier and Apple to get RCS, MMS, and SMS working again on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I’m frustrated to say that — despite my carrier jumping on it, thank you so much to the executive team — I’m still in the same boat I was 48 hours ago. I am starting to wonder if it is my iPhone’s software (iOS) that is the problem… in which case, that’s an Apple issue.

I’ve been an iPhone user since high school (2018 onwards), and a Mac user since 2016. I prefer iOS, all of my purchases are on iOS; and Ivory and Reeder? Those are apps I’m literally in 24/7. iMessage is important to me for the group chats I’m in, so frankly I am hesitant to leave.

However, with this entire situation not resolving itself, I am starting to fear that going back to Android will be the only resolution. I do not have any other iPhones to switch into–just my secondary Pixel 6 I use for development and app testing.

So, hopefully it gets resolved, and by writing this I’ll have hopefully blown off enough steam to keep fighting to figure out what’s up. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
